An evening of fantastic food, frights and fancy dress awaits visitors to Kingston’s Ancient Market Place this Halloween.
This Thursday (October 29), the MAKE Night Market will be heading back to town for the last time this year, for the third annual Halloween Spooktacular.
Featuring a mix of global street food, craft beers and organic wines, residents are encouraged to turn up in suitably scary costumes for this special, spooky edition of the popular evening event.
Live music will be performed at the Night Market in the form of soul band Penny and the Pounds, plus a DJ set from the eclectic musical collective Culture Cuts, while animation students from Kingston University will be putting on installations and sideshows to entertain all ages.
For families who have been enjoying some of the free Halloween craft activities during Thumb’s Up It’s Thursday earlier in the day, it’s also an ideal chance to show off their new, hand-made costumes and masks.
MAKE Night Market founder Alistair Turnham, said:
“We are bringing our scariest and most ghoulish night market ever to Kingston for Halloween 2015.
“The Spooktacular will feature live soul band Penny & the Pounds, South London superstar DJs Culture Cuts, Kingston Uni students installing 10 terrifying pop-up sideshows, as well as great new craft beers, 50 per cent more stalls and 100 per cent more spook.
“But remember, no matter how scary, it’s for all the family, and our artists, traders and even the MAKE team will be dressing up – will you?”
The MAKE Night Market runs from 5pm to 10pm on Thursday, October 29 in Kingston’s Ancient Market Place.
